Google Classroom: Classwork - Types of Assignments Question Create a Question Go to Classwork Click on the '+ Create' button Select the 'Question' option Enter your Question name and any instructions you may have for your class You can select two question types: Short answer: students can reply to each other and edit their answers You can turn off student replies to each other by ensuring the checkbox is not checked when you are creating the Question You can also turn off students editing their answer by ensuring the checkbox is not checked when you are creating the Question Multiple-choice: students select an answer from a list Click the down arrow next to 'Short answer' Select 'Multiple choice' Click 'Option 1' and enter the first answer option Click 'Add option' to add as many options as you want If you need to delete an option, click 'Remove x' next to the option you want to delete Students will see a class summary of answers by default when the Question is turned in. You can turn this feature off by making sure the checkbox is not checked when creating the Question Select if you would like all of your students to view the Question or specific students Select the grade category for your Question Select if your Question is ungraded or has a point value Select if you would like to add a due date and time Select the Topic for the Question that you are adding Click 'Post' when you are done Short answer option: Multiple choice option: Schedule or save a Question as a draft Option 1: Schedule a Question to be posted at a later date Next to 'Post,' click the down arrow and select 'Schedule' Next to the date, click the down arrow and select a date and time for your Question to post Click 'Schedule' and the Question will automatically post at the scheduled date and time Option 2: Save a Question as a draftNext to 'Post,' click the down arrow and select 'Save draft' Edit a Question Go to Classwork Click on the three horizontal dots (More) on the Question you would like to edit Select the 'Edit' option You are then able to choose from the following: Posted Material: make changes and click 'Save' Schedule Material: make changes and click 'Schedule' Draft Material: make changes and next to Post, click the down arrow and select 'Save draft' Add a class comment to the Question Go to Classwork Click on the Question Select 'View Question' Add a comment to the class at the top by clicking 'Question' Click 'Add class comment' Enter your comment Click 'Post' Delete a Question: if you delete a question, any grades and comments related to it will also be deleted.
