How to change your default application
There are a couple of ways to change your default applications in Windows. If you are unable to complete and/or save any of the steps, please let us know.
Option 1: Right-click a file type
- Go to the file location you are opening. Right-click on the file

- Select the 'Properties' option. The Properties window will appear

- Select 'Change' on the General tab. A pop-up window for how you would like to open the file type will appear.

- Change to the application you would like the file to open with.

- Click 'OK' and the 'Opens with' should change to your new selected application.
Option 2: Settings Menu
- Go to the 'Settings' Menu by selecting the gear icon in the Start Menu

- Go to the 'Apps' menu option.

- Select 'Default apps' in the left-hand sidebar.

- Scroll to the option for 'Choose default apps by file type' in the list.

- Search for your file type option. The types are listed alphabetically. Common image types are .jpeg, .png, or .bmp; PDF files are .pdf.

- Next to the filetype, select the current application. A pop-up window will appear to choose a new application.

- Once the application has been selected, the new application should appear next to the file type.
