Access APTS Files – Using Web Browser
*REMINDER: Staff are responsible for adhering to APTS IT policies and procedures when accessing APTS cloud storage on personal devices. If accessing on a shared device, we recommend that staff use an ‘Incognito’ window or take additional measures to make sure they sign out of their APTS account.
- In any web browser, visit login.microsoftonline.com
- Click the Apps icon (top-left)
and select either OneDrive (personal files) or SharePoint (shared files) from the menu.
OneDrive Navigation Basics:
- Home – shows recently opened/edited files.
- Easily choose to sort recent files by Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF files

My files– contains all your personal files and folders.
- Outlook email attachments are stored in the Attachments folder
- Microsoft Forms are stored in the Apps folder
- Files dropped in Microsoft Teams Chat are stored in the Microsoft Teams Chat Files folder

+ Add New – create new folders in OneDrive, upload Files/folders from local pc, create new Office files (will be saved to your OneDrive)

How to share OneDrive files/folders with others – use ‘Move to’ or ‘Copy to’ option, then use the ‘Quick Access’ section to choose your Department’s SharePoint Site folders

Home – view Frequent, Followed, and Recent sites

My Sites - view Frequent and Followed Sites

Site (Home) – links to APTS website & social media, shortcuts to shared folders, site Activity.

Site (Documents) – best location to open, edit, copy, move, or create new files. Please note: You will see additional options when hovering over folders/files and selecting ‘…’ that do not appear on the Site Home page Documents.

How to add new files/folders in shared sites – navigate to the specific folder where you would like to create the new file and select the ‘+ New’ button and choose the appropriate option.
